A report claiming the United States attacked Iran's Lavan Island on Wednesday night was false, according to local officials.
According to Jin10, Iran's Mehr News Agency cited a source from the Hormozgan provincial government as saying the claim was "completely untrue." The report said that as of midnight, no attack or target strike had occurred on Lavan Island.
It added that oil facilities on the island were operating normally and had not been affected.
