Federal Reserve meeting minutes said policymakers still expected real GDP to maintain solid growth for the rest of 2026 and described the labor market as stable.

According to Jin10, the minutes said multiple employment indicators suggested the labor market remained steady and did not appear to be a source of inflation pressure.

The minutes noted that the statement issued on June 17 was shorter than releases after recent meetings, which the report said signaled that Kevin Warsh was about to take action after pledging to overhaul the Federal Reserve’s communication strategy.

The minutes also said multiple officials agreed it was time to consider making major revisions to the post-meeting statement.
