据CNBC报道，肯塔基州州长安迪·贝希尔周三要求参议员米奇·麦康奈尔办公室就其健康状况提供最新进展，称肯塔基州民众对这位84岁参议员的健康与安危日益担忧。麦康奈尔办公室称，他于6月14日入院，近期仅表示其“在医院继续康复”并“持续好转”，在参议院休会期间仍与其团队就肯塔基州及参议院事务保持沟通。麦康奈尔此前在一系列健康惊吓后决定不再寻求第八个任期。
