据界面新闻报道，国际海事组织（IMO）秘书长多明格斯7月8日谴责近期在霍尔木兹海峡海域针对商船的袭击事件，称仍有数百艘船舶和约6000名海员因安全原因滞留波斯湾，并建议在海员安全无法保障前避免安排船舶通过该海峡。美军中央司令部7日称，已完成对伊朗新一轮打击，击中超过80个目标，并称此举是对伊朗近期袭击通过霍尔木兹海峡商船的回应。
