A senior Iranian lawmaker said the United States must “recognize the new management system in the Strait of Hormuz” after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards announced strikes on 85 U.S. military facilities in the region.
According to Jin10, Iranian state media reported that Ebrahim Aziz, head of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, made the remarks on social media while commenting on what the Revolutionary Guards described as an “initial response” to alleged U.S. acts of aggression.
Aziz said there was “no other way” and that the United States must recognize “the new Iranian system” in the Strait of Hormuz.
