Ctrl Wallet said it will permanently shut down on Aug. 3, 2026, disabling transfers, swaps and other in-app activity. The company announced the closure on July 7 and pulled the app from major stores the same day, according to BeInCrypto, while existing installs will keep full features through Aug. 2. Ctrl said the wallet remains fully operational until Aug. 2, after which the only remaining function will be exporting a recovery phrase; it urged users to export their 12-word or 24-word phrase or move funds elsewhere. The platform did not give a reason, but noted a June security issue affecting a small number of Cardano (ADA) wallets.
