TradFi asset futures trading on crypto exchanges has expanded sharply over the past 18 months, with volumes rising 1,472-fold, according to CoinGecko.
According to NS3.AI, CoinGecko reported that TradFi asset futures volume reached $347.1 billion in May of this year, up from $230 million in January 2025.
The report also said cumulative volume from January to May 2026 totaled $1.32 trillion, exceeding the $104.2 billion recorded for all of 2025.
