African fintech company Flutterwave said it has received an investment from Circle Ventures, without disclosing the amount. According to Foresight News, Flutterwave said the funding will be used to expand its USDC payment and settlement business across Africa.
Flutterwave said stablecoins are becoming core financial infrastructure and that it is working on faster and more flexible cross-border fund transfer methods to help businesses move money.
Foresight News previously reported that Ripple acquired a partial stake in Flutterwave in June this year at a valuation of $3.3 billion.
