LG Electronics may be entering a structural profit recovery phase, a Yuanta Securities Korea analyst said.
According to Jin10, the analyst said profit margins in the South Korean consumer electronics company’s core home appliance, TV, and automotive components businesses are expected to keep improving this year, after its second-quarter operating profit beat market expectations, partly helped by a one-off U.S. tariff rebate.
The analyst added that LG Electronics’ expansion into new businesses such as AI data center cooling equipment, robots, and actuators is expected to accelerate in the second half of 2026. The analyst said customer qualification testing is underway to prepare for potential contract awards.
