A total of 349 A-share listed companies had disclosed equity incentive plans so far this year as of July 7, up 29.93% year on year, according to Wind data cited by 36Kr. The number of disclosed equity incentive plans reached 387, up 18.71% from a year earlier.
Chen Li, a council member of the China Chief Economist Forum, said more than 300 companies launching equity incentives this year reflects stronger long-term operating confidence among listed firms, as they use equity-based incentives to retain teams and stabilize business expectations. He added that disclosures are likely to expand steadily in the second half as the interim-report season approaches and as capacity expansion and talent needs increase.
