The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has charged Trevor Vernon and Argent Capital Management LLC over an alleged $14 million commodity pool fraud involving futures, options, and cryptocurrency trading.
According to NS3.AI, the CFTC said the alleged scheme swindled about 60 people through a commodity pool that traded futures, options, and crypto.
The agency’s complaint alleges the defendants raised roughly $14 million from participants and misled them in connection with the pool’s operations and trading activity.
