NEAR’s House of Stake has approved HSP-027, a proposal to remove the protocol’s 30% developer gas rebate and instead burn all network gas fees.
According to NS3.AI, the change is expected around August 2026 alongside the nearcore v2.14 release.
The final vote tally showed 46 votes representing 4.66 million veNEAR in favor, while two votes representing 1,819 veNEAR opposed the proposal.
