EDX Markets, an institutional digital asset trading platform, said it has completed a $76 million Series C funding round led by Japan’s financial group SBI Holdings. According to Odaily, the company said the proceeds will be used to upgrade its trading, clearing, and settlement infrastructure, accelerate product updates, and expand its global institutional business.
EDX previously launched EDX FlowConnect, which it said supports enterprises in offering compliant digital asset trading services. The platform has also submitted an application to the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to establish EDX Trust, with plans to build a federally regulated framework for digital asset custody, clearing and settlement, and risk management.
