Base plans to activate the B20 token standard on its mainnet at 2:00 AM (UTC+8) on July 9. According to Foresight News, Base had previously scheduled the B20 token format activation for 2:00 AM (UTC+8) on June 27, but later postponed it due to stability reasons.
B20 is Base’s native token format. Base said the standard is intended to improve user experience through faster, lower-cost, and more standardized settlement mechanisms, and to enable global financial assets to exist on Base as programmable capital with on-chain composability.
