At the midday close, China’s main domestic futures contracts were mostly higher. According to Jin10, propylene, styrene (EB), polypropylene, the monthly average polypropylene contract, plastics, and the monthly average plastics contract each rose by more than 2%.
Stainless steel (SS) gained nearly 2%, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) rose by more than 1%.
On the downside, the European container shipping route contract fell by more than 5%. Soda ash declined by more than 3%, and red dates slipped by nearly 3%.
Glass, palladium, and Shanghai silver each dropped by more than 2%, while platinum fell by nearly 2%. Live hog futures declined by more than 1%.
