Omdia has sharply revised up its forecast for China’s semiconductor market growth in 2026 to 92.9% year on year, with the market projected to reach $812.08 billion, according to Jiemian News. Omdia also lifted its 2026 forecast for China’s semiconductor memory market growth to 262.9%, putting the market size at $449.6 billion.
The report said China’s memory chip market share is expected to rise to 55.4% in 2026 from 29.4% in 2025, and is projected to remain above 50% in the future. Globally, Omdia forecast the overall memory chip market will reach $886.4 billion in 2026, accounting for 54.8% of the total semiconductor market.
