Binance Blog published a new article, announcing a relief donation to support Binance users and communities affected by the devastating floods that struck Accra in June. Binance Charity said it will provide a total of $35,000 through 15 USDT token vouchers distributed to eligible users living in the hardest-hit areas, with eligibility determined through Proof of Address (POA). According to the article, users identified via POA in the most affected locations—N1 Highway, Kasoa, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Alajo, Tse Addo, Kaneshie, Adabraka, Tesano, Mallam, Weija, Achimota, Madina, Spintex, and Darkuman—will each receive 15 USDT in token vouchers. The vouchers will be redeemable through users’ Rewards Hub. Binance Charity framed the initiative as part of its effort to stand with affected users as recovery continues in Ghana.
Binance Charity also outlined a window for users who have not yet completed POA to qualify for the donation. The article stated that existing users who complete their POA between July 6, 2026 and July 20, 2026 (23:59 UTC+0) will also receive 15 USDT, subject to the total donation allocation. Any POA submissions after July 20, 2026 (23:59 UTC+0) will not be eligible for the airdrop. Binance Charity added that users will receive funds within a maximum of 30 days from the day their POA is completed. In the same update, Binance Charity noted it has previously supported communities affected by disasters across Argentina, Brazil, DRC, Italy, Libya, Mexico, Morocco, Taiwan, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, and Venezuela, and said it remains committed to exploring additional ways to help its community as recovery efforts continue.
