According to CNBC, President Donald Trump on Monday morning joined the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq in ringing the opening bell from the White House Oval Office for the first time, marking the launch of “Trump Accounts,” the administration’s new tax-advantaged investment vehicles for U.S. children. CNBC reported that the accounts are available for all children age 18 or younger and include a one-time $1,000 pilot program contribution from the U.S. Treasury Department for babies born from 2025 through 2028; investor Brad Gerstner said CEOs including Dell chief Michael Dell and Visa CEO Ryan McInerney attended, and Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev called the accounts potentially “life changing.”
