StarkWare has proposed major changes to its STRK delegation program, including reducing the number of validators from more than 130 to a maximum of 31 and shifting its approach from expanding coverage to deeper cooperation. According to Foresight News, the proposal outlines a third delegation round split into two channels with different allocation sizes and eligibility requirements.

Channel A would offer up to 26 slots, with each selected validator receiving at least 15 million STRK in delegation and up to 20 million STRK. To qualify, validators must have maintained 99% uptime on mainnet over the past three months and meet at least one additional condition: rank among the top eight by STRK staking amount excluding StarkWare and the Starknet Foundation; be a leading cross-chain infrastructure provider, with up to eight additional slots; or be an ecosystem application developer that paid average monthly network fees of at least $2,000 over the past three months, with up to 10 additional slots.

Channel B would offer up to five slots, with each validator receiving 5 million STRK. This channel would be open to community members who actively participate in decentralized discussions and requires 99% uptime on both mainnet and testnet.

The proposed rules are scheduled to take effect five weeks later, and a two-week community feedback period is currently open.
