Micron Technology said it has held a groundbreaking ceremony for an advanced memory chip plant in Hiroshima, Japan, with total investment of about 1.5 trillion yen.
According to PANews, the facility will focus on producing AI-critical chips such as HBM (high-bandwidth memory).
Micron expects shipments to begin around 2028.
