India's Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) plans to significantly relax restrictions on investors short-selling stocks, nearly doubling the number of shares eligible for securities lending and borrowing, according to people familiar with the matter, 36Kr reported. SEBI is also considering lowering margin requirements for stock borrowing.
