SpaceX is exploring a larger-scale mobile phone and mobile communications business, and an investor has seen a phone-like prototype device that is thinner than an iPhone and runs a self-developed operating system. According to Odaily, the report said that as SpaceX prepared for an IPO, company President Gwynne Shotwell discussed the possibility of building a terrestrial network to provide mobile services and considered partnering with telecom operators.
The report added that Starlink has already partnered with companies including T-Mobile to provide mobile connectivity in remote areas.
