Microsoft announced a new AI bot management policy for Microsoft Teams meetings that requires meeting organizer approval before third-party AI bots can join, according to 36Kr. Microsoft said it has added a "Manage external bots and their access to meetings" policy in the Teams admin center, enabled by default. Admins can apply the policy to specific users or groups; when Teams detects an external AI bot attempting to join, it is placed in the meeting lobby until the organizer approves entry. Administrators can also disable the feature based on enterprise needs.
