Sentora founder Jesus Rodriguez said decentralized finance (DeFi) insurance backed by ETH or similar assets can become ineffective during hacks.
According to NS3.AI, Rodriguez argued that the value of collateral used to support such insurance may drop during an exploit, limiting its ability to cover losses.
He added that DeFi has $94 billion in total value locked (TVL), while less than $1 billion is allocated to insurance.
