EasyJet has agreed in principle to a fifth takeover offer from Castlelake LP, priced at £6.90 per share in cash.
According to Jin10, the latest offer values the UK low-cost airline at £5.2 billion, higher than the previous bid of £6.50 per share.
The deal would take the airline private and lead to its delisting. The company, which listed in November 2000, has faced operating pressure after aviation fuel prices surged due to the Iran conflict.
