Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said an anonymity experiment he initiated has been running for 13 days and has not yet been solved. According to Foresight News, Buterin wrote on X that no one has found the target document so far.
He encouraged participants to broaden their search slightly, adding that he has observed many search efforts and AI scripts missing categories of documents that should have been included.
Buterin previously said there have been recent claims that AI-based text analysis could make online anonymity difficult to maintain. To test that idea, he said he decided to sacrifice part of his own anonymity.
He described the experiment as involving a published document of moderate importance to Ethereum that he wrote at some point in this century, with the goal of seeing whether the community could use analysis to identify the document’s true author.
