Mexico players and staff returned luxury Rolex watches gifted by American content creator Stevewilldoit, whose real name is Stephen Deleonardis, after he said he spent $1 million (£747,000) on the gifts. The watches were presented when he met the squad on Monday, but FIFA’s Code of Ethics restricts gifts to those of “symbolic or trivial value,” and Mexico’s X account said the team returned them “by mutual agreement” and that the gifts were given “on his own initiative,” according to Yahoo Sports.
