Patriot Front Says About 400 Members Arrived in Washington for July 4 March

According to Lianhe Zaobao citing Reuters, members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front marched in multiple locations in Washington on Saturday, July 4, as the US marked the 250th anniversary of Independence Day. The group said on social media that about 400 members had arrived in Washington, and a Reuters photographer saw hundreds wearing Patriot Front clothing traveling on the Washington Metro. Videos posted on social media and the group’s Telegram channels showed participants in khaki pants and blue tops, wearing hats, white face coverings and sunglasses, marching behind drummers past the US Capitol and Union Station while waving group flags, Confederate flags and various versions of the US flag and chanting “Reclaim America.” The Washington Metropolitan Police Department said it was monitoring the group’s “First Amendment activity” and had received no reports of arrests, complaints or requests for assistance related to the march.
