Anthropic has started early-stage research and development work on its own AI chip and has held talks with Samsung Electronics, planning to consider it as a potential chip foundry partner.
According to Jin10, the move is described as following OpenAI’s approach and is aimed at strengthening Anthropic’s independent control over the costly computing hardware system that supports its large AI models.
