Alireza Faghani will referee England’s World Cup last-16 match against Mexico at the Azteca Stadium on Sunday night, according to Yahoo Sports. The Australian official’s team includes assistants George Lakrindis and Andrew Lindsay, fourth official Jalal Jayed, reserve assistant Zakaria Brinsi, VAR Nicolas Gallo and assistant VARs Juan Lara and Juan Soto; the match will be shown live on BBC One with coverage starting at midnight and kick-off at 1pm (BST) on the morning of Monday, 6 July.
