Iran’s deputy foreign minister, Gharibabadi, warned other countries against taking military action in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Jin10, Gharibabadi wrote on social media on July 4 local time that the Strait of Hormuz is not a stage for countries outside the region to display military power, and Iran is issuing a warning over any military action in the sensitive waterway.
He said security in the Strait of Hormuz should be jointly maintained by coastal countries, and added that any party that creates a crisis would be responsible for the consequences of what he described as risky behavior.
