Israeli prosecutors indicted 21-year-old American Eli Lavon on espionage charges, alleging he received roughly $1,379 in cryptocurrency from Iran-linked handlers.
According to NS3.AI, prosecutors said Lavon communicated via Telegram, filmed locations in Jerusalem, and left hidden items containing coded messages.
Lavon’s attorney, Raz Bar Tzvi, disputed the accusation, arguing that the alleged conduct does not amount to espionage.
