Julian Nagelsmann is no longer Germany men’s national team manager after Germany lost to Paraguay on penalty kicks in the World Cup round of 32, and the German Football Association said it has begun talks with former Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp about the job, according to Yahoo Sports. GFA president Bernd Neuendorf thanked Nagelsmann for his work since September 2023, while Nagelsmann said the players deserve a “fresh start” after the defeat; Klopp, 59, has not coached an international team and is currently Red Bull’s head of global football.
