Solana has introduced SGP, a governance tool designed to allow delegators to vote independently from validators on future issuance decisions.
According to NS3.AI, an SGP proposal must be submitted through a proposing validator vote account holding at least 100,000 SOL.
Before a proposal can proceed to a vote, validators representing 15% of active stake must support it.
The update follows the earlier SIMD-0228 inflation proposal, which received 61.39% approval, falling short of the 66.67% threshold required for passage.
