Deutsche Bank: Meta Could Add $9B-$30B Revenue in 2027 by Selling AI Compute Capacity

Deutsche Bank said reports that Meta plans to sell AI computing power and model access to external customers do not imply the company is scaling back its frontier-model or "superintelligence" efforts, but rather monetizing older, non-core, or temporarily idle capacity while keeping the latest chips for internal training, according to 36Kr. Deutsche Bank estimates Meta's AI-related compute capacity could reach 8.0-11.5 GW by the end of 2027, with about 1.2-2.7 GW potentially available for external sales. Assuming a 75% sell-through rate and annualized revenue of $10-$15 billion per GW, Meta could generate $9-$30 billion of incremental revenue in 2027, or 3%-10% above market revenue expectations; its base-case estimate is about $17.5 billion.
