Alibaba has added Claude Code to a high-risk software list and will fully ban employees from using it in office environments starting July 10, according to Ming Pao, citing a Yicai report that quoted an anonymous internal source.
The report said the move follows recent disclosures of security risks involving alleged backdoor implantation in Claude Code. Alibaba will recommend Qoder as an alternative, the report said.
