According to CNBC, U.S. Olympian canoeist David Hearn was indicted by a grand jury in Washington, D.C., on a felony destruction of property charge tied to allegedly ripping up about two square feet of sealant in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said Thursday. Pirro said the alleged incident occurred June 19 and that Hearn, 67, faces a possible maximum sentence of 10 years in prison if convicted; he was arrested that day on a misdemeanor charge. Hearn told The Washington Post he did not vandalize anything, while his lawyers, Norm Eisen and Mary Dohrmann, said in a statement that he is innocent.
