Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said agentic AI is expected to soon develop trading capabilities comparable to those of human traders.

According to ChainCatcher, Tenev said much of institutional trading is already automated and driven by AI, and that Robinhood’s goal is to extend similar computing power and trading tools to retail investors.

Robinhood launched tools in May that allow AI agents to execute stock trades on behalf of clients, Tenev said.

The company also announced on Wednesday that it will roll out cryptocurrency trading services in the United Kingdom as part of its European expansion. Earlier this month, Robinhood said it would cut 10% of its workforce to improve operational efficiency.
