Zcash 核心开发者 Sean Bowe 表示，Ironwood 升级将于明日部署至测试网，并将于约 7 月 21 日在主网激活。据 Foresight News 报道，其称目前所有共识规则变更都已实现，并已接受了一段时间的审计；规范/ZIP 已发布，接近最终状态。
Sean Bowe 此前称，Ironwood 将引入使用 Orchard 协议的新屏蔽池；Orchard 电路将新增可由共识规则控制的标志，可禁用池内向其他用户支付（保留找零）。升级后旧 Orchard 池将启用该限制，并通过约束 valueBalance 禁止向旧池转入资金；新支付需通过新池进行，并鼓励将资金从旧池迁移至新池；用户可通过迁移逐步证明此前未发生虚假铸造行为。
