Onyx Protocol 宣布，Onyx Layer 3（XCN Ledger）将于 2026 年 12 月 31 日弃用并关闭，开发重心将完全转向 Onyx Layer 1。
据 Foresight News 报道，Onyx 表示，此次过渡不会改变 XCN 本身，以太坊 ERC-20 合约仍是 XCN 的主要表示形式，持有者将继续按需在以太坊和 Onyx Layer 1 之间进行资产跨链。
作为过渡的一部分，XCN 持有者可将其基于以太坊的 XCN 桥接到 Onyx Layer 1，以参与质押、应用程序和未来的网络功能。
