Fhenix, a fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) Layer 2 project, has acquired FHE infrastructure company Sunscreen for an undisclosed amount and appointed Sunscreen founder Ravital Solomon as its head of research. According to Foresight News, Fhenix said the acquisition is expected to strengthen its research and development capabilities in on-chain privacy computing.
Sunscreen focuses on applying FHE technology to blockchain and is described as an early participant in the sector. The company has also developed compiler technology within its ecosystem aimed at lowering the barrier for developers to use encrypted computation.
