A serious bug in the Alkanes protocol has reportedly enabled unlimited token issuance, with one address allegedly creating 100 million $DIESEL using the exploit.
According to ChainCatcher, community user @CG_BRC20 said the newly minted $DIESEL could not be displayed on the protocol’s official Espo browser or on the Subfrost interface.
The report said users holding the asset should be aware of potential risks.
ChainCatcher added that an administrator in Alkanes’ official Telegram group has so far said funds are safe.
