A trader identified as “smart money” bought $112,000 worth of shares backing Spain to win a Polymarket prediction event for the “2026 World Cup Round of 16: Spain vs. Austria,” according to monitoring data from PPP’s prediction market tool.

According to Odaily, the address 0x3dfb153c197d4c19d3b31c1ecd2c7b6860eeabaf opened the position at an average price of $0.74 per share, purchasing 150,000 shares, with an unrealized profit of $1,305 at the time of the report.

The Spain vs. Austria knockout match is scheduled for 03:00 (UTC+8) on July 3. The report said Spain has players including Yamal, Torres, and Pino, is ranked third in the world, and has a total squad value of more than 1.2 billion euros. Austria is ranked 23rd in the world, with a total squad value of 245 million euros and an average player age of 28.

The report added that the two teams have played twice in recent years, with each winning once.
