Li Auto is preparing a new round of organizational restructuring around its product decision-making process, including splitting off some key functions from its product department and folding them into R&D, according to 36Kr. People familiar with the plan said the changes mainly target core product-definition teams for the electric vehicle platform and autonomous driving.
Under the plan, the product department’s electric vehicle platform definition team will be split and moved into the vehicle R&D division led by Liu Liguo, while the autonomous driving terminal product team will be merged into the foundation model R&D team led by Zhan Kun. One source added that some experience-related product staff may also move into a product line overseen by Liu Jie. The product department is led by Fan Haoyu and covers areas including EV platform, spatial intelligence, autonomous driving terminal products, interaction design, platform operations, and the app and website.
