James Raymond Hanes pleaded guilty to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft after obtaining more than $476,000 in vehicle loans.

According to NS3.AI, prosecutors said Hanes used at least 16 counterfeit driver’s licenses to purchase cars across Northern California.

Authorities said he later resold the vehicles after buying them with the fraudulently secured loans.
