FBI Director Kash Patel failed to timely disclose a six-figure purchase of Strategy (MSTR) stock, according to CoinDesk, citing a report by nonpartisan outlet NOTUS. Patel reportedly bought $100,001 to $250,000 of MSTR on Nov. 21 but did not report the trade until May 26, telling the Office of Government Ethics he “inadvertently omitted” it due to a “miscommunication.” Under the STOCK Act, executive branch officials must disclose stock trades over $1,000 within 45 days.
