France has recorded 77 cases so far this year involving crypto-linked kidnapping, unlawful detention, extortion, or attempted crimes, French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said.
According to NS3.AI, Nunez said the total is up from 45 in 2025.
He added that about 200 people were arrested following incidents or during preventive operations.
