A national consumer subsidy for elderly care services has launched on JD.com, with the first e-commerce order placed in Beijing.
According to Jin10, starting July 1, eligible older adults can search for “elderly care subsidy” in the JD.com app and receive an instant 50% discount when purchasing frequently used in-home elderly care services, including assisted bathing, home cleaning, medical accompaniment, rehabilitation therapy, short-term care, and other services.
The subsidy program is being implemented by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. It targets older adults with moderate or more severe disability and provides support for in-home care, institutional care, respite services, and day care services.
The services launched on JD.com cover in-home elderly care. The subsidy can be used to offset 50% of the service cost, with a monthly cap of 800 yuan per person.
