Hybio Pharmaceutical said it recently received a Drug Registration Certificate from China’s National Medical Products Administration for its liraglutide (H) injection.
According to Jin10, the company described liraglutide as an analog of human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), a key target in diabetes treatment. It said the drug has multiple physiological functions, including promoting insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner, protecting pancreatic beta cells, and delaying gastric emptying to reduce appetite.
Hybio Pharmaceutical said sales performance after the product’s launch may be affected by uncertainties such as market conditions and environmental changes, and it warned of the risk that sales could fall short of expectations.
