A survey by Tangem and Protocol Theory found that 66% of cryptocurrency users consider self-custody important, but far fewer report using dedicated self-custody tools.
According to NS3.AI, the survey included 3,172 respondents and showed that only 15% said they actually use a hardware wallet.
The results highlight a gap between stated preferences for controlling crypto assets directly and the adoption of hardware wallets among surveyed users.
